The company is owned by Ann Arbor native Dennis Brewer and operates with an owner or manager on call at all times. Sakstrup’s Ann Arbor towing and assistance has provided service to area Motor Clubs since 1971 and is a proud member of the Michigan Towing Association (MTA). Dennis Brewer served on the MTA Board of Directors for several years and was then Vice President of MTA for 18 years. Brewer also had the honor of being inducted into the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame in 2002.

Sakstrup’s team includes 13 professional drivers and nine dispatchers. The courteous drivers average 17 years of experience with the company and operate a fleet of 18 road service units. The five most senior drivers average 31 years of experience with Sakstrup’s. The drivers are supported by a team of knowledgeable phone operators and dispatchers located in a central dispatch office. Their in-house dispatch team is familiar with the area as well as the procedures required to serve customers’ needs.

Sakstrup’s has access to an additional 25 road service, recovery and service equipment units from Sakstrup’s sister company, Brewer’s Towing. This includes a 75-ton rotator, which is among the largest recovery equipment in Southeastern Michigan and enables them to safely upright, lift or move any vehicle or object.
